FULL TIME: Bohemians came from behind as two late goals from James McManus and Jonathan Afolabi in the final ten minutes to snatch a win for the home side against Dundalk in an incredible game at Dalymount Park. It looked as if the Lilywhites were on course to another victory and to take the points home to Oriel only to be undone in the final moments of the contest as goals from Connor Malley and Yli-Kokko cancelled out an early Bohemians goal in a game that could have gone either way.

SAVE: John Martin and Keith Ward thought they had bundled the ball in only for Talbot to latch onto the ball in the final second.

GOAL: And Bohemians take the lead! Jonathan Afolabi ripped open the Dundalk defence and slid it under Sheppard !

GOAL: Kris Twardek and McManus combine as they two substitutes make an immediate impact to level the tie here in Dalymount. That goal had been coming as Bohs had been putting pressure on the Dundalk defence.

CHANCE: Afolabi had a good chance that he miskicked away from goal before Flores had a shot that was easy for Shepperd to save

YELLOW: Daniel Kelly is booked.

SUB: Kris Twardek and John O'Sullivan on the way for Bohs to replace McDaid and McDonnell.

SUB: John Martin on for Yli-Kokko Martin has a goal to his name against Bohs. He cancelled out Georgie Kelly’s opener early in the second half at Dalymount Park in October 2021 before Anthony Wordsworth’s goal gave Waterford a 2-1 win in the league.

CHANCE: What a chance for Bohemians as McDaid's ball was sent in for McDonnell but Hayden Muller and Sheppard combine to clear the ball with Muller hooked the ball off the line. Sheppard is down injured and is getting treatement for a head injury.

ATTACK: Connor Malley strikes an excellent ball from the edge of the area and the second ball sent in from Archie Davies nearly meets Hoban but the ball just evades, there appeared to be a slight nudge on the Dundalk striker.

SUB: James Clarke comes on for Dylan Connolly

YELLOW: For a foul on Connolly - Louie Annesley gets booked and a free kick by Flores is cleared for a corner.

CHANCE: A Malley free kick is whipped into the Bohemians area but it bounces past Hoban and wide but the Bohs defence failed to clear it.

YELLOW: Jonathan Afolabi enters the book for a foul on Connor Malley.

YELLOW: Greg Sloggett commits a foul and enters the book.

SECOND HALF: We are back underway at Dalymount with Dundalk restarting proceedings.

HALF TIME: The perfect start for the home side as James McManus gets an early goal for Bohemians but Dundalk have struck two goals with Yli Kokko and Connor Malley, there was a few boos ringing out at half time.

ADDED TIME: Four added minutes in Dalymount Park.

DELAY: There is a delay in play after Muller gets a ball to the face and much to the frustation of the Bohemians side who thought they were onto something with a good counter attack.

GOAL: A free kick for Dundalk is played cross field to Archie Davies who puts an excellent ball to the onrushing Connor Malley who heads it past Talbot. A very well taken team goal.

FLORES: Jordan Flores is down injured and it does not look good for the former Dundalk player.

CHANCE: Adam McDonnell bobbed and waved on Hayden Mullen but his effort from the edge of the area goes well wide.

GOAL: Dundalk equalised as Connor Malley head the ball down to Yli-Kokko who gets just head of the two centre backs and slots it past Talbot with ease. That's his second goal here this season after he scored here on his debut in February.

COUNTER: Daniel Kelly loses posession and in three quick passes Flores and Connolly combine trying to feed Afolabi but the ball goes out for a corner.

STAT: That's the 31st goal Dundalk have conceded so far this season - one more than they conceded in the whole of the 2022 campaign

GOAL: James McManus opens the scoring after once again a high press from Bohemians saw Afolabi send the ball into the area, it evades the first Bohs attacker but McManus was on hand to slot it past Sheppard with ease.

DUNDALK: A Connor Malley free kick is sent in and causes all sorts of issues that is eventually cleared, the second phases sees another ball sent in by Daniel Kelly but it is caught well by Talbot.

FLORES: There is foul on the edge of the area and Flores is due to take it, he strikes it low which his target was Afolabi but the referee has signaled the Bohs striker was offside.

SETTLED: The game has settled following that flurry of press that Bohemians gave in the first few minutes, there is a serious wind which Bohemians are taking advantage of.

TACTICS: Dundalk have maintained the same formation they had against Rovers last week with Paul Doyle slotting into the left wing back role which former Bohs player Robbie McCourt had filled 7 days ago.

SAVE: A great save from Nathan Sheppard after Jonathan Afolabi gets a shot away that is denied by the Dundalk keeper, in the second phase of play Jordan Flores pass finds Afolabi again only for his header to go wide.

SLOGGET: Greg Sloggett, who turned 27 on Monday, hasn’t scored a league goal since hitting a consolation strike in Dundalk’s 5-1 defeat away to Bohemians here at Dalymount Park on May 24th 2021

DALYMOUNT: By all accounts Dalymount is very full this evening along with the away end filled with Dundalk fans. The atmosphere is always special in this ground.

HOBAN: Patrick Hoban scored his 145th goal for Dundalk last Friday against Shamrock Rovers. Along with UCD, the striker has scored more goals (16) against Bohemians than any other side.

DICKIE 100: Daniel Kelly starts the 100th league match of his career tonight. Kelly's 1st career goal came against Bohs when he opened the scoring after just 3 minutes for Dave Mackey's Bray at Dalymount Park in a 2-1 defeat in March 2018.

LOUIE LOUIE: Louie Annesley, the man who broke the deadlock last Friday against Shamrock Rovers, plays just the 37th game of his club career tonight - the same number of international caps he has for Gibraltar.

ARCHIE: Archie Davies and Connor Malley both hit the quarter of a century mark (25) in terms of appearances for Dundalk tonight. For the latter it's also the 70th game of his senior career. Davies is amongst the nominees for the SWI/SSE Airtricity Player of the Month for June

REF WATCH: Tonight's referee is Rob Hennessy. The Limerick man is refereeing Dundalk for the fourth time this season tonight. He was in charge of both Dundalk’s draws with Derry City – 0-0 in the Brandywell in March and 2-2 in Oriel in April and the 2-1 win away to Cork City on June 9th.
