Instant impact from Ferizaj! Clarke bursts forward and passes it to the substitute on his left. Ferizaj bursts forward and takes a shot which is heavily deflected off Wells and into the UCD net.

It's a flurry of subs here which isn't helping the flow of the game. Ferizaj replaces Greene on this occasion.

Jake Doyle and Harry O'Connor are introduced for the Students.

The second has taken the sting out of the game a little as Rovers continue to dominate the ball but haven't created much in the last few minutes.

And Rovers double their lead! A fairly simple tap-in at the back post for Aaron Greene and that\'s 2-0!

First chance of the half goes to Rovers as Greene hits the byline and smashes a ball across the box but Moore does well to claim the ball.

Elsewhere, Bohemians trail Derry City 1-0 at Dalymount meaning if things stay as they are Rovers will finish the evening top of the league.

Big chance! The resulting freekick is delivered into the box by Poom and finds Hoare in acres of space just outside the six-yard box. The defender shoots on the turn but is unable to find the target.

A cynical pullback from Kinsella-Bishop on Clarke puts him in the referees book.

Close! Nice Rovers play sees the three front men combine. Burke is given a shooting opportunity but the effort deflects wide.

Dangerous play at the back from UCD earns Rovers a corner. Keaney is alive to a Trevor Clarke pullback from the byline but he takes too long and Greene steps in to rob possession before turning and taking a shot which Keaney recovers to block wide. Corner comes to nothing.

Michael Gallagher goes into the book after bringing down Graham Burke.

Darragh Nugent rises highest and connects to a Poom corner at the back post but Moore is on hand to collect the effort.

Graham Burke has been everywhere so far and is running the show by dropping deep and picking up the ball in the pockets. UCD need to get a grip of the Hoops' top scorer this season.

Trevor Clarke is the first man in the book for a very late challenge.

Kian Moore is down receiving attention after being caught by Johnny Kenny. A lovely Graham Burke clip over the UCD defense had Kenny 1v1 but Moore bravely cleared before the contact.

Breakthrough for Rovers! Trevor Clarke combines with Graham Burke before slotting home to give the Hoops the lead.

Sublime stuff from UCD's Ciaran Behan who picks up the ball around the halfway line and dribbles right to the edge of the Rovers box. He fed Norris to his left but the return ball to Behan was snuffed out.

Burke stings the palms of Moore in the first shot on target of the game. UCD were dispossessed in their own half before Burke was found with plenty of space.

Plenty of Rovers possession so far but they have yet to test Kian Moore in the UCD net. The hoops have tried plenty of long balls to test the UCD defense who don't look the most convincing in dealing with them so far.

First shot of the game is taken by Graham Burke who spots Moore off his line for a quick freekick. His effort sails harmlessly wide.

Just 8 out of the available 9 substitutes on the bench for UCD tonight which might say a lot about the state of their injury ridden squad. Mikey Raggett, Mark Dignam, Sam Todd and Dara Keane are among those absent. While the Students' bench is lacking defensive reinforcements, they have some bright sparks who could come on in attack such as Jake Doyle and Devine Izekor should Andy Myler need them.

The sun is shining and it's a full house in Belfield, ideal conditions for the Dodder derby! Although this fixture has not been too kind to the home side... the Hoops have won 13 consecutive league games against the Students. What a day for Andy Myler's side to put a stop to that unwanted record.

Meanwhile, Stephen Bradley makes five changes to his Rovers side that beat Bohemians last week. Hoare, Nugent, Greene, Finn and Burke are all introduced while Grace, O\'Neill, Byrne, Farrugia and Towell all drop out. Jack Byrne is out of the matchday squad for the Hoops.

Just one change for UCD as Luke O'Regan replaces Jesse Dempsey.
