Full time at Tolka Park comes to the relief of Wexford Youths after they were completely taken apart by an extremely impressive and lively Shelbourne side who entirely deserved the 5 goal margin which brought them the three points today as the move up, at least briefly, to second place in the league

This game is now just a case of seeing the remaining few minutes out, Wexford look as though they cannot wait to get off the pitch as the rain begins to fall on what has been a miserable afternoon for them

A little ball ball around the corner by Megan Smyth-Lynch breaks the line and sets Jemma Quinn in down the right channel and Quinn hits a brilliant low drive across the goal, clipping the inside of the post on its way to making it 4-0 to Shels

Corbet pokes one towards goal but the effort is saved easily as she was always stretching for the ball and couldn't generate the necessary power to trouble the keeper

Wexford need to create this half, with players like Jarrett and Corbet up front they are always dangerous but the supply has been lacking to allow them to get into the game

Rianna Jarrett misses a golden chance to give Wexford a slimmer of hope, a mistake by the Shelbourne defence allows the ball to come all the way across to Wexford's top scorer but the experienced striker pulls her shot wide of the target on her left foot

We are back on here at Tolka Park, in what could turn into a bit of a rout should Wexford not tighten up at the back

Halftime comes with Shels 3-0 in the lead after a fantastic display of fast, direct football. Wexford have looked slow and unimaginative compared to the speed and creativity of Shelbourne. There looks to be no way back for Wexford in this one after goals from Stapleton, Healy and Christie leave them trailing the meanest defence in the league by three goals after just 45 minutes

3-0 to Shels as Gray plays a lovely one-two with Healy and is slipped in behind the Wexford defence who can't match her pace, and she rolls one past Williams into the far corner to cap off a great first half for the Dublin side

Lots of slick football being played in the middle of the park by both sides, but very few chances since Shels second goal

Shelbourne have only conceded 6 goals so far this season, the lowest in the league, so they should have a lot of confidence in being able to see this game out with their defensive capabilities

Wexford have slowly pulled their way into this game and have been the better side in the last five. With the mountain they have to climb they'll need to keep this momentum up for the remainder of the game

Shels have a lucky break as they are saved from giving away a penalty and possibly a red card too as a handball block is overruled as Corbet had been flagged offside just beforehand

Wexford have not started this game whatsoever and need to be mindful not to concede any more if they have any chance off getting back into this game, but Shels are playing some wonderful attacking football, so it will be no easy task

2-0 to Shels already as Hannah Healy manages to poke the ball past Williams on the fourth time of asking after a fantastic save by the Wexford keeper and two fantastic blocks by Orlaith Conlon still wasn't enough to keep their opponents out from 8 yards

What a start for Shels who couldn't have imagined a better start to the game, Wexford still have a lot of time to recover but that's a very tough early blow to take

And a goal in the first minute! Jesse Stapleton smashes Shels in front on the half volley as the ball sat up beautifully for her breaking straight to the Shels defender from the opening corner and she puts her controlled strike in the corner
