Match Report
Emily Corbet struck in the last minute to hand Wexford Youths a last gasp draw away to Treaty United as the game ended in a 2-2 stalemate in Limerick. Wexford looked the stronger side in the opening minutes but it was Treaty who grabbed the early goal 14 minutes into the game when the ball came to Hailey Walsh on the edge of the box, the Treaty midfielder then chipped her shot from a standing start into the far corner of the goal over the head of Williams in the Wexford goal to put the home side ahead against the run of play. The rest of the half would play out similarly to how it began with Wexford dominating the ball in Treaty’s half but struggling to pose too much threat apart from some dangerous set pieces swung in, while Treaty had enough threat on the counter to keep Wexford worried at the back. Emily Corbet nearly poked in an equaliser when she prodded the ball from the toe of Treaty defender Chloe Hennigan who was attempting to shield the ball back to her keeper, but Corbet’s effort struck the legs of the unsuspecting Anne-Marie Ulliac in goal who happily pounced on the ball to keep her team in the lead. Early in the second half, Wexford had a couple of wonderful chances to draw level. Firstly, Corbet muscled her way onto a through ball and found herself 8 yards out with only the keeper to beat, but couldn't direct her shot past Ulliac, the ball then bounced out to Aine Walsh who miscued the follow up effort and sliced the ball wide. Only a couple of minutes later, Abbie Brophy drilled a cross into the Treaty penalty area and it came once again to Walsh who, once again, mistimed her strike and this time hardly made contact with the goal unguarded. Brophy also had a low effort denied by a wonderful stop by Ulliac with her feet as it seemed it just might not be Wexford's day. Treaty were eventually pulled back after 78 minutes when Nicola Sinnott found the net for the Youths after a goalmouth scramble, one of Wexford’s great deliveries finally paying off. Treaty must have thought they had won it when Cara Griffin struck in the 88th minute with a stooping header into the bottom corner to finish off a lightning quick counter by Treaty to put them back in the lead. But it wasn’t to be, as in the final moments of the game Wexford were able to tie it up with one of the final actions of the game when Corbet scored to allow Wexford to leave Limerick with a point in a result that will have both sides feeling that they should have been the one leaving with all three.Corbett Salvages Point For Wexford At Markets Field

Full time here at Markets Field as Treaty and Wexford Youths have played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw with the drama of late goals for both sides really adding to a super finish to the game. Wexford had the majority of the ball for much of the game but the counter attacking play of Treaty and goals from Walsh and Griffin had them heading towards a fantastic win before Corbet dashed those hopes in the games last throws
Wexford draw level in the dying seconds through Emily Corbet, what a finish to this match!
Treaty have been very efficient in front of goal today, unlike Wexford who have fluffed far too many chances and only have themselves to blame if they fall to defeat here today
Treaty go back into the lead through the head of Cara Griffin, her stooping header into the bottom corner finishes off a pacy counter attack that has been the staple of Treaty's attacking play today
Can Treaty push on and restore their lead after defending for so long and so well today? They've struggled to create anything of note in this second period
Wexford always looked likely to grab one through a set piece today due to the constant quality of the corners and free kicks that was giving the Treaty defenders a headache all game
Goal for Wexford after a scramble in the box after another quality corner delivery and its Nicola Sinnott who eventually puts it in the back of the net from a couple yards out
Wexford almost equalise, Brophy sees her effort stopped by the foot of Ulliac as the Treaty keeper makes a wonderful save to deny the Wexford winger
The rain is beginning to fall quite heavily here as the scoreline looks more and more desperate for Wexford as the minutes tick by
Great ball across by Abbie Brophy comes all the way across the box to Aine Walsh who misses the ball as she swings her leg at the cross with the goal agape and Treaty escape unscathe
First yellow of the game for Treaty's Cara Griffin after a foul on the edge of her own box
Corbet muscles her way onto a chipped through ball but her strike from six yards hits Ulliac in the midriff before Aine Walsh can't control her effort on the follow up and the ball goes for a goal kick
Miscued header by Lawrence from a fantastic position right in front of goal, she should have done better with that one
Defensive mix up nearly has Grace McInerney putting the ball into her own net but the Treaty defender clears from the line
We are back on here at Markets Field, Wexford came out for the second half quite a while before Treaty did, lets see if they can bring that initiative into their attacking play this half
Half time here in Limerick yields a narrow lead for Treaty which they achieved through Hailey Walsh's strike after 14 minutes in a half dominated by Wexford, but its difficult to say Treaty don't deserve their lead after their impressive defending and counter attacking through the opening 45 minutes
Yet again Ulliac does super from a well delivered set piece, punching clear and winning a free kick for her troubles.
The first forty minutes have been played almost entirely in the Treaty half but thee away side have never looked like scoring despite some good football
Emily Corbet pokes the ball it is attempted to be shielded back to Ulliac by Hennigan but she can only find the keepers unsuspecting legs with her effort and the danger is cleared
Very optimistic effort by Orlaith Conlon for Wexford from about 40 yards is caught by Ulliac competently
Some rapid counter attacks by Treaty will keep the Wexford defences o their toes having already displayed their threat through the opening goal
Wexford have continued to push after conceding and a number of good set piece deliveries haven't quite fell to the feet of the visitors so far
Wexford will be rattled by that opening goal after looking so comfortable in the opening minutes of the match
Goal for Treaty as a chipped effort by Hailey Walsh from the edge of the area loops over Maeve Williams and into the corner of the Wexford goal as Treaty take the lead against the run of play
Michaela Lawrence's heads towards goal but the ball lacks pace and is gathered by Ann-Marie Ulliac in the Treaty goal
Wexford are again without talismanic striker Rianna Jarrett today, who's absence was definitely missed in the Youths last game as they looked toothless up front in their 3-0 loss to Bohemians
We are just kicked off here in Markets Field where Treaty United host Wexford Youths. Both teams are coming off of heavy 3-0 losses in their last games and will be looking to put in a better performance this evening
