Five Minutes added time
A familar name makes his debut for the Bit O'Red with Owen Elding coming on for the last few minutes. His father, Anthony, was the winning goal scorer for Sligo in the 2013 FAI Cup Final.
Jack Moylan again involved in a fine Shels move as he took the ball out of the sky with a fabulous touch and push the ball into the path of Mattie Smith. Smith burst into the box but couldn't keep his effort on target.
It's all kicking off here in Sligo. Evan Caffrey fouls sub Kailan Barlow but the Shels player ends up on the floor as his team mates surround Neil Doyle. No action is taken against the young midfielder who spots Kearns off his line and his long range effort almost caught the former youth international out landing on the top of his net.
Moylan completes this hat trick from the spot kick and they go to celebrate with their fans. The resulting celebrations see at least one Shelbourne fan ejected from the ground for invading the pitch as Shelbourne's supporters are in seventh heaven.
PENALTY: Jack Moylan is taken down in the box by Johan Brannfelk for a spot kick.
Sligo's best opportunity of the game fell to Bogdan Vastsuk but his rasping effort from the edge of the box goes wide of the far post as the Showgrounds faithful rise to their feet in expectation.
Mark Coyle takes a bit of a breather on the ground after an altercation with Greg Bolger knowing a yellow card was coming from referee Doyle.
Second half underway as Sligo need something special to get back into this game.
It's been a very bright first half with two well matched sides as the referee brings the first half to a close with Shels 2-0 ahead.
Luke Byrne also finds himself in the referees book. Must have said something to the officials.
A calamity of errors has given Shelbourne a two goal advantage. The Sligo defence were at sixes and sevens from a corner and the ball went over the head of McNicholas who misjudged the cross. Lukas Browning saw the ball bounce of him to the feet of Moylan who simply guided it into the unguarded net. Potentially the two easiest goals he'll ever score.
There must be something going around in the air as Nando Pinajker is the latest to pick up a yellow card for a clumsy challenge. Shels had capitalised on an error in the Sligo defence and the Kiwi cut out the attack illegally according to Neil Doyle the match referee.
Tyreke Wilson also finds his way into the referee's notebook after a late and clumsy challenge on Johan Brannfelk.
The move of the game as Jack Moylan out foxes the entire Sligo defence with a back heel into the path of Evan Caffrey who probably had more time than he expected. His attempt from the edge of the box went over the crossbar to the relief of the Bit O'Red central defence pairing.
First yellow card of the game for Reece Hutchinson of Sligo Rovers. Shels will an opportunity to loft one into the box.
Frank Liivak appears to have had an impact from a Shels defender off the ball. He's stayed down for a while but now back up and getting stuck in again.
Sligo have been growing in confidence since going behind and look the most likely to score at the moment.
Sligo almost find a way through to equalise. A slide rule pass from Greg Bolger puts Frank Liivak in on goal, he pulls it back but a defending Shels foot manages to get there ahead of Vastsuk and Shels scramble it away.
GOAL: Shels are ahead after a bit of good fortune for Jack Moylan. the Shels forward played a lovely one two to create acres of space on the right wing. He drove at the Sligo defence and laid the ball off to Tyreke Wilson who shot at goal. The ball cannoned off Moylan and then dropped to the striker who had a relatively easy tap in past the despairing dive of McNicholas in the Sligo goal.
Shane Farrell gets some attention for a clash of heads but he's good to continue.
And we're underway in front of a decent crowd in The Showgrounds as Sligo look to bounce back from defeat against Dundalk last time out.
