Another fine move from the home side sees Barlow whip in a dangerous cross but it's cleared by a defender for a corner.

Kailin Barlow is really enjoying himself out there now. A lovely little piece of skill to get past a UCD defender but it just runs out of his control. Manages to win the corner though.

And it's two. Fabrice Hartmann has the crowd on their feet again after a brilliant 1-2 with Barlow set the German free on the edge of the box. He ghosted past the defender and slotted the ball past Kian Moore to double Rover's advantage.

UCD have just had the best chance of the half as they work the ball brilliantly through the Rovers rearguard. The referee played a great advantage as Nando Pinajker pulled back Jake Doyle on the edge of the box, but he managed to get his pass away to Alex Nolan who forced a top save from McNicholas. Brendan Barr saw his effort from the rebound blocked by Pinajker.

Sligo have a penalty shout as Mata goes down in the box but the referee simply waves away his protests.

The students are captained by former Bit O'Red midfielder Jack Keaney while James Finnerty makes his first starting appearance for the home side this season as Niall Morahan, Kailin Barlow and Johan Brannefalk all retrun to the starting 11 for Rovers.
