This week on the League of Ireland podcast Finn Harps defender Stephen Folan joined Dean and Breifne to discuss his return to the league with Finn Harps after a Covid affected move to Australia didn’t work out.
Stephen chats about his return from Australia after his adventure down under was shortened considerably when the league ran into issues with Covid and was cancelled. Ollie Horgan offered him the opportunity to return home to the top flight here and he’s been enjoying his time at Finn Park with Harps.
He discusses his regret at not taking an opportunity to join Derry City on loan during his Newcastle United days and his realisation on breaking into first team action that it wasn’t just a game of football, with mortgages and other player’s livelihoods on the line every Friday night.
