Cabinteely Announce New Signings

Cabinteely FC have today announced that they have signed a number of young Irish players for the 2021 SSE Airtricity League squad this season.

The club has secured the signing of Peter Quinlan and Vilius Labutis, Jack Hudson, Luke Clucas, and Keith Dalton to the squad. The players have all come through the club’s underage set-up, while Dalton is heading into his fourth consecutive year at the club.

Vilius Labutis, a midfielder, has been a product of the Cabinteely youth system since the U17s and U19s before he became part of Pat Devlin’s senior squad in 2019.

The midfielder will be well used to First Division football in Ireland, having made 33 appearances for Cabinteely, scoring four times. The 19-year-old has also played for Lithuania under-age squads.

Peter Quinlan, a goalkeeper, debuted back in 2019 and has made four appearances for the club.

Quinlan will be hoping to replace Stephen McGuinness as number one. The 25-year-old left to join Dublin club Bohemians on a free transfer this year.

Luke Clucas has played 60 times for the club since his debut in 2018 and has found the net on eight occasions.

Jack Hudson struggled for game time last season with an injury but is back now for his fifth season.

He has made 32 appearances for Cabo since making his senior debut in 2017.

Keith Dalton joined from top-flight side Bohemians and has since gone onto make 68 appearances as a Green line member in 2018

The winger has also scored four goals for the club since joining Pat Devlin’s side
