Dinny Corcoran announces LOI retirement

Veteran League of Ireland striker Dinny Corcoran has this evening announced his retirement from the league.

Tweeting on his twitter account this evening Corcoran said:

“Unfortunately I’m hanging up my LOI boots, will miss it.. Will continue to play at a lower level.. Thank you to anyone who helped and supported me along the way!”

The 33-year-old has been a key figure in the league since his debut season with Sporting Fingal back in 2008, he has had stints with Shelbourne, UCD, Sligo Rovers, St Patrick’s Athletic and two stints at both Bohemians and Drogheda United, he would finish his LOI career at Wexford.

In 2022 he netted six times in 25 appearances for Wexford, with one goal coming in the cup.

Corcoran will be a name that many teams at the lower levels of Irish soccer would love to acquire, bringing plenty experience and goals wherever he has been during his 14-year career in the league of Ireland.
