The SSE Airtricity League today released the full fixture list for the 2021 Premier Division season where defending champions Shamrock Rovers will host St. Patrick’s Athletic on opening night.
The other fixtures on March 19th will see FAI Cup winners Dundalk make the trip west to The Showgrounds to face Sligo Rovers and Bohemians make the long journey to Ballybofey to play Finn Harps.
Promoted sides Drogheda United and Longford Town will be at home for their first games back in the top flight hosting Waterford and Derry City respectively.
Due to the congestion of a late start and the risk of Covid affecting the schedule the EA Sports Cup will not take place this season. The FAI Cup will commence on the 25th July with the final pencilled in for the weekend of 28th November 2021.
The entire fixture list can be viewed here as well as a full fixture matrix here. The fixtures for the First Division and the Women’s National League will be released next week, Monday, 8th February. All fixtures are subject to change due to television coverage set to be announced at a later date.
