St. Patrick’s Athletic have announced the loan signing of Liverpool goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros for the 2021 SSE Airtricity League season as Stephen O’Donnell prepares to improve their fortunes this term.
The Czech national, capped at U18 level for his home country, featured on the bench for the Premier League champions in some of their UEFA Champions League group games this season as well as some of their preseason and FA Cup games.
Since signing from Slavia Prague in 2017, the net minder was a winner of the 2019 FA Youth Cup with the Reds and signed a long term contract with the Anfield side last summer.
Pat’s head coach Stephen O’Donnell said: “I’m delighted to get a goalkeeper of Vitezslav’s pedigree, he is an exciting addition to the squad and comes from a massive club with such a huge tradition in goalkeepers.
“We are looking forward to working with him in pre-season, he has experience of being around the Liverpool first team and their goalkeepers like Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher so we are very happy to have him on board.”
