Horgan leaves role as manager of Finn Harps

Finn Harps have announced that manager Ollie Horgan has departed the club by mutual consent, bringing an end to his nine-year spell at the Donegal club.

The news comes as Harps have been relegated to the First Division, after finishing bottom of the 2022 SSE Premier Division Table.

Horgan has overseen numerous changes and developments in the northwest, having got the side promoted twice in his tenure as manager, while also reaching an FAI Cup Semi-Final in his first season, to securing the club’s best league finish in over twenty years in 2020, he has become a great character and a cult figure to many League of Ireland fans during his time at Harps.

In a statement released by Finn Harps, they wished to thank Horgan for his time at the club.

“Everyone at the club wishes to thank Ollie for his dedication, tireless work ethic and success during his time at Finn Park.

Chairman Ian Harkin added: “We would like to thank Ollie for his efforts on behalf of the club throughout his time at the club.  His work ethic and passion are legendary.  We wish him every success in the future.”
