In 1B Old Wesley have a home semi-final to look forward to against Garryowen, while Old Belvedere looked like they would miss out on the play-offs, finished fourth and meet Shannon down in Limerick. At the basement, defeat for Queens will see them facing Banbridge in a relegation play-off.

Old Wesley confirmed their spot in the promotion play-offs despite defeat to St Mary’s, Garryowen and Highfield hope to join them but Old Belvedere are also still in the race. At the bottom UCC are safe as they relegated Buccaneers while Queens and Naas will have to get results on the final day to avoid the relegation play-off.

Garryowen and Highfield both gained ground as the promotion battle rages on in 1B, at the bottom end UCC secured two vital bonus points that may keep them up. Buccaneers will end the season in the relegation zone as they are at risk of finishing bottom.
