Preview: AIL – Men’s Division 1B

Division 1B All-Ireland Rugby league is set for another weekend of fantastic rugby, with five games being played at the regular Saturday slot of 2:30pm.

At Rifle Park, Banbridge host St Mary’s College with the hosts coming into the game in ninth after a difficult start to the season that has seen them lose their opening two games.

Their opponents have also had a difficult start to the season, losing both of their opening games but do have two bonus points to show for their efforts.

Table toppers Highfield host Naas at Woodleigh Park, looking to continue their formidable start to the season that has seen them go two for two on nine points.

Naas lies in fifth on six points, after one win and one loss from their opening two games.

In the previous meeting between the two sides, Highfield beat Naas 38-20.

At Ollie Campbell Park, Old Belvedere host Malone, with the hosts coming into the game in seventh place after one win and one loss from their opening two games.

Their opponents Malone lies one spot above them in sixth, also on four points.

In the previous meeting between the two sides, Old Belvedere beat Malone 26-21.

At Energia Park, Old Wesley host Navan, with the hosts coming into the game in third on eight points after back-to-back wins.

Navan lies at the foot of the table in 10th, pointless with a miserable points difference of -38 after two hefty defeats.

In the previous meeting between the two sides, Old Wesley beat Navan 38-15.
