
Garryowen Football Club is a rugby union club from Limerick, Ireland. It plays in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League and historically has been one of the most successful clubs in Irish rugby union.
The club have rugby kick named the garryowen after. A very high up and under kick designed to put teams under pressure. it won Garryowen three Senior cups from 1924 to 1926.
Garryowen have won the Munster Senior Cup 38 times, more times than any other club. Garryowen won the trophy nine times in a row between 1889 and 1898 and have the distinction of having played in the first final in 1886 and the 100th final in 1986.

AIL Preview: Division 1A Week 12
There are only seven rounds of normal action left in the league campaign and things are really starting to get serious. This weekend we will see a repeat of last year’s AIL final when Clontarf travel to Lakelands to face league leaders Terenure College. Young Munster can put themselves in the playoff places with a win at home to Trinity this weekend, and can Lansdowne make it three wins from three since the start of the new year. Let's get into it!

There were wins for Terenure College, Cork Con, Ballynahinch, Young Munster and Lansdowne at the weekend. The battle for fourth place is really starting to heat up. Trinity is hanging on, while both Ballynahinch and Young Munster are lurking in the shadows. It’s a big weekend for all the teams in the top four. League leaders Terenure College travel to College Park to take on Trinity who are in desperate need of a win. The other big clash sees defending champions Clontarf host Jonny Holland’s Cork Con. Further down the table, it’s a Friday night lights Dublin derby on the Aviva stadium back pitch when Lansdowne and UCD do battle.

We’ve reached the halfway point in the season and things are starting to really heat up. There are some big games this weekend happening in 1A. Young Munster will attempt to get back-to-back victories over league leaders Terenure College. Cork Con and Trinity will do battle for the second time in seven days and Lansdowne must travel to the historic Coonagh in search of much needed win. It’s all happening, let’s get into it!
