AIL Roundup: Women’s Division Round 16

With just two rounds left of the regular Women’s AIL season, second-placed Railway Union moved six points clear of Old Belvedere in the race to reach next month’s final at the Aviva Stadium. UL Bohemian confirmed already to have made one of those spots as mathematically they cannot be caught.

AIL Roundup: Division 1B Round 17

Old Wesley confirmed their spot in the promotion play-offs despite defeat to St Mary’s, Garryowen and Highfield hope to join them but Old Belvedere are also still in the race. At the bottom UCC are safe as they relegated Buccaneers while Queens and Naas will have to get results on the final day to avoid the relegation play-off.

13 wins in succession now for UL Bohemian, Fiona Hayes’s charges leaving it late to defeat Blackrock and sit ten clear at the summit. Railway Union and Old Belvedere are just behind in the race to make this year’s final. Elsewhere Suttonians picked up a first win since December.
