Blackrock kept their recent winning streak intact with a dominant performance in Belfast as Aoife Wafer and Catherine Martin scored hat tricks in the 11 try performance.

In a dominant opening half performance, Rock crossed for six tries, Wafer with a brace, combined with efforts from Martin, India Daley, Ellen Boylan and Mya Alcorn. Abby Moyles converted four of those tries.

Aoife Williams was the hero as Galwegians celebrated their first win of the season getting over the line against Wicklow.

Wicklow had the better of the opening half as Ciara O’Leary crossed to give them a narrow 5-0 lead at the break. Just as it looked like it would be seven defeats for the campaign, Wegians had a resurgent second half in Ashtown Lane. Hannah Clarke levelled matters with a try after the hour mark. Before Williams crossed for a pivotal moment in the contest, the conversion from Emma Keane kept the result with the Galway side until the end

UL Bohemian (1T) 10-7 Railway Union (1T), Annacotty

Kate Flannery’s second half penalty proved to be the deciding factor as UL Bohs continued their unbeaten run with a narrow win over Railway Union.

Railway had built up a 7-0 lead shy of half time but a strong comeback in the second half by the hosts changed the dynamic of the contest and the outcome.

Eilis Cahill crossed from close range in the second half as UL got on the board with Flannery levelling matters from the tee. A few minutes later Flannery was accurate from close range of the tee to put three between the teams and from there the hosts battled hard to keep their lead.
