AIL Roundup: Women’s Division

Suttonians picked up their first win of the AIL season with a narrow eight point win, in the only tie in the division this weekend.

Cooke 7-15 Suttonians, Shaw's Bridge

Sutts will be happy to have got their first win of the season, moving them up the table into 5th, as UL drop down a position.

Cooke certainly made it hard work for the Dublin outfit, having now had a great start to the league they will take some positives away from the defeat this evening, level at the break with a converted try each.

Suttonians worked well to take the result in the second half, working a second try with a three-pointer adding the insurance.

Ahead of next weekend Suttonians will be full of optimism with Railway Union their next opponents, while Cooke may struggle against Old Belvedere.
