AIL Preview: Women’s Energia Cup Week 3

One game to be decided from the Week 3 cup ties as Railway Union travel to take on Old Belvedere in what expects to be a fantastic encounter.

Old Belvedere V Railway Union, Saturday 18th February, Ollie Campbell Park, 5pm

Railway Union have started life in the cup with an unbeaten start, but a trip to Belvedere could prove a stumbling block this weekend.

Belvedere lost their opening game of the cup to Wicklow and look to show their class in the competition by toppling Railway Union, the side who beat them in the division semi finals, if they can get players back from Ireland duty they will certainly be more competitive than last weekend.

The visitors have been at their sparking best so far in the cup, it was hard to separate them and Blackrock in the league and now they hope to continue their winning run and put themselves as a frontrunner in the competition, boasting a squad of top class calibre players, they have not felt the sting of losing players to Ireland call ups like others have.
