Roundup: AIL – Men’s Division 1B

Highfield remain unbeaten and top of the Energia Division 1B All-Ireland league after their 21-10 victory over City of Armagh.

Old Wesley kept up their pursuit of the league leaders after their 24-14 victory over bottom side Banbridge, who remain winless.

Naas 35-19 St Mary’s College:

The home side cruised to a comfortable victory courtesy of tries from Gary Kavanagh, Donal Conroy, John Sutton and Tim Murphy.

Naas are up to fifth on 22 points after a bonus point victory, while St Mary’s College are down to third on 25 points.

Highfield 21-10 City of Armagh:

The league leaders continued their momentum as they secured an eighth straight victory courtesy of Travis Coomey, Chris Banon and Sam Burns.

Highfield are on an impressive 35 points, whilst City of Armagh are in fourth with 22 points.

Malone 12-15 Shannon:

Sleeping giant Shannon got back to winning ways after their narrow victory courtesy of Jordan Prenderville and a penalty try.

After their losing bonus point, Malone lies in eighth on 12 points whilst Shannon is in fifth with 21 points.

Old Belvedere 32-12 Navan:

The home side cruised to a comfortable victory against a dismal Navan side, thanks to tries from David Butler, Jack Keating and a brace from Joe Horan.

Old Belvedere are up to seventh on 16 points after their bonus point win, whilst ninth placed Navan are on just 11 points.

Old Wesley 24-14 Banbridge:

Old Wesley condemned Banbridge’s woes as the basement side fell to an eighth straight defeat courtesy of tries from Ben Burns, Iain McGann, Paddy McKenzie and David Poff.

The home side remain just three points behind league leaders Highfield after another bonus point win, whereas in complete contrast bottom side Banbridge are on just four points.
