Lansdowne 31-41 Shannon, Aviva Stadium Back Pitch

Shannon have picked up their third win of the season, when it almost looked like they would squander the lead to Lansdowne, but came out bonus point winners.

They raced into a 14-0 lead before Lansdowne hit back with a converted try of their own, Josh Costello crossed for their third try after 37 minutes to extend their lead to 24-7, as it looked like it was the last act of the half but a second converted try left it 24-14 at the break.

The hosts came out fighting in the second half and three tries without reply brought them right back to lead 28-24, a penalty moved the hosts further ahead but a converted Shannon try got them over for the bonus point and to tie the game 31-31.

Shannon ended the game in style with a further try and a late penalty giving them a ten point cushion and five points to take back to Shannonside.
