Cavan and Offaly have retained their Intermediate status for next year. The Breffni County had a fine win over Antrim on Saturday while Offaly defeated Wicklow this afternoon. Antrim and Wicklow will now face each other in the relegation final.

Two massive games in the relegation play-offs this weekend. The winners retain their Intermediate status for next year and the losers play in the relegation play-off final. There is an Ulster derby in Inniskeen when Antrim take on Cavan while in Crettyard, Offaly and Wicklow meet.
Wexford recorded a six point win over Cavan to advance to the quarter-finals of the championship. Leitrim secured a home quarter-final tie with victory away to Wicklow. Wexford will also play at home in the last eight after they had a comfortable win away to Antrim. A late point from Sarah Capaldi saw Monaghan book their place in the quarter-finals with a draw against Offaly in Tullamore.

It’s all to play for this weekend in the Intermediate Championship. Westmeath entertain Cavan in Mullingar where a win for either side will see them advance to the quarter-finals. Offaly and Monaghan clash in Tullamore with the winner booking their place in the last 8. Wexford will hope to top the group with a win away to Antrim while Leitrim will also hope to top their group when they take on Wicklow.
There were plenty of goals scored in the opening weekend of the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship. In Ballinamore nine goals were scored as Leitrim came away with a narrow one point win. Fidelma Marrinan scored four goals in Clare’s win over Monaghan while Catriona Murray’s goal proved the difference as Wexford defeated Roscommon. In the other game Down recorded a seven point win over Cavan.

The 2024 TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship throws in this weekend, after months of intense prep work which teams can lay down an early marker. Last year’s finalists Clare travel to Monaghan, while Down take on Cavan as both had contrasting fates last season.

Kildare finished the league with another win; their seventh in seven games. This time they defeated Westmeath by seven points in Newbridge. Cavan were relegated to Division 3 after they lost to Tyrone and Monaghan had a fine win over already relegated Laois.
