Kildare recorded their 16th win in a row as they came away from Donegal with a four point win over Donegal. It was an impressive display from Diane O’Hora’s charges who are top of Division 2. Cavan and Westmeath both picked up their first wins with victories over Laois and Monaghan respectively.

In Omagh two sides who would like to push for promotion met when Tyrone entertain Tipperary. Tipp had a fine win over Tyrone last year but it’ll be a lot closer this year.

They start their league campaign at home to Monaghan. Former Mayo Ladies manager Frank Browne is now with Westmeath and they play their first of five away games on Sunday when they travel to take on Tyrone.
