Laois will play Armagh in the Division 2 final after they defeated Roscommon. They finished level on points with Tipperary but advanced on the head to head. Down at the other end Roscommon dropped back down to Division 3.

A place in the Division 2 final against Armagh is at stake on Sunday with Tipperary and Laois vying for that spot. Down at the bottom Roscommon are in the relegation play-off. Monaghan, Westmeath and Tyrone will all want wins to secure their place in the division for next year.

With Armagh through to the final, Tipperary and Laois battle it out for second spot, while Cavan are also pushing for the same position, Armagh could know their opposition in the final this week, or it could be left to next weekend. It’s tight down at the bottom with every point vital.

For the third game in a row Cavan left it late to claim a win. Aisling Gilsenan with the match winning point for the Breffni County. Armagh got the better of Laois in their top of the table clash at the Athletic Grounds.
