It's all over in The Showgrounds as Sligo have held on for a fabulous win having played nearly 70 minutes with 10 men.

Kailin Barlow goes on a mazy dribble through the Pat's midfield before drawing a foul. The home side are happy to wind down the clock as their 10 men are getting a standing ovation from the raucous home support.

Fine minutes stoppage time announced. The home crowd are beginning to believe they can hold on here.

Nando Pinajker cuts out a through ball by unceremoniously putting the ball over the stand to the joy of the home support.

Substitution for the visitors as Conor Carty replaces Eoin Doyle.

Hartmann has restored the home sides lead. A quick free kick on the far side of the pitch caught the Pat\'s rear guard napping and he stole into the box and finished calmly past Odumosu.

Forrester almost makes it two as he mirrors his last effort, creates himself some space but his left footed effort is kept out by McNicholas at full stretch.

And it has been coming. Chris Forrester found a metre of space, a quick turn and he made no mistake as he finds the inside of the far post despite the despairing dive of Luke McNicholas. 1-1 and the sides are level

Good steal from Eoin Doyle who feeds Mulraney on the right wing. His cross evades a team mate and goes harmlessly wide. It's been all St. Pat's so far as they go chasing an equaliser against ten man Rovers.

Luke McNicholas gets down well at his near post to collect a bullet cross from Mulraney who's injected a bit of pace and quality out wide for St. Pat's.

Two changes for St. Pat's as Chris Forrester and Jake Mulraney replace Sam Curtis and Thijs Timmermanns. Sligo get the second half underway.

Sam Curtis is upended in the Sligo Rovers penalty area but the referee deems it a dive and issues another yellow card to the visitors.

Tommy Lonergan brings the home crowd to their feet as he makes a claim for the miss of the season, a great cross from Eoin Doyle fought the former UCD striker alone at the back post but he stroked the ball to the outside of the post.

Reece Hutchinson has ten man Rovers ahead. A good interchange between himself and Fitzgerald down the right wing is cut back to the full back who finishes to the back of the St. Pat's net. Against the run of play since Mahon's sending off but no less than Rovers industry deserves.

Greg Bolger also picked up a card in the phase of play that saw Mahon dismissed.

And Sligo are in trouble here, John Mahon got the ball caught under his feet, dispossessed by Tommy Lonergan and a tug on his jersey saw the referee award the free and issue Mahon his marching orders.

A decent break for Sligo as a Luke McNicholas punch set up a counter attack. Mata and Fitzgerald almost get in each others way before Pat's neutralise the danger and clear their lines.

St. Pat's win a corner but a poor delivery let's their hosts off the hook. It's a tough opening for both sides as neither has really settled into the fixture just yet.

Space opens up in front of Hartmann but his long range effort is high and not so pretty.

Good combination play between Brannefalk, Mata and Hartmann almost get the German in he can't get an effort away as he runs into a Pat's centre half who clears.

Niall Morahan gets a shot off at the edge of the Pat's box but the sting is taken out of it with a touch from a defender into the arms of Odumosu.

Ben McCormack's free kick causes consternation in the Sligo box but it's dealt with eventually by the Bit O'Red defenders.

Ball deflected on to the astro turf pitch and the fourth official refuses to return a ball to play until Timmermans retrieves his shinguards from the other side of the field.
