Match Report
Treaty United maintained a lifeline to the promotion playoffs with a come from behind their outside hopes of a playoff place with a comeback 4-1 victory over Athlone Town with goals from Mark Ludden, Success Edogun and a brace from Stephen Christopher. The visitors had opened the scoring through Patrick Hickey after just 11 minutes but the concession of a penalty ten minutes later would prove to be the turning point of the game. A Mark Walsh header was blocked on the line by the hand of Jack Kavanagh who was sent off for the offence. The visitors continued to struggle with their ten men and had a scare when a long range effort appeared to have crossed the line but the referee gave the benefit of the doubt to O'Donnell in the Athlone goal. Success Edogun put the home side ahead on the hour mark and two late Stephen Christopher goals would seal the win for the Limerick side.Treaty Keep Promotion Hopes Alive
