Match Report
A scrappy first half, in which three yellow cards were dished out, was brought to life by a sensational strike by Galway talisman Stephen Walsh on the brink of the half time whistle. A corner was headed out by the Bray defence and then played straight back in. It was then met on the volley acrobatically by the home side’s number seven as he connected sweetly and put the ball into the bottom corner to send the home side into raptures going into the break. The Tribesmen started the second half in much the same vein as they ended the first and the second goal followed suit. A quick break from the home side saw McCarthy was blocked, with it then falling to Manning. His shot was deflected into the path of Walsh who could not have had an easier finish as he doubled Galway’s lead. Bray, who had looked solid and pressed well in the first half, looked a shell of that side in the second half and Galway’s third summed it all up. A mix-up at the back between Connor and Webster allowed Manning to nip in and square the ball across to David Hurley who rifled the ball into the goal for his 15 th of this campaign. A fourth should really have followed just before the 90 th minute as substitution Wassim Aouachria got in behind Bray’s back line and managed to chip the Seagulls ‘keeper. His effort had not enough pace to it though and recovering was Dave Webster to dribble the ball away as it trickled towards the line.Walsh breaks records as Galway beat Bray

Full time and a convincing win here for the league leaders. Galway didn't really have much to deal with as Bray huffed and puffed but couldn't counter the devasting attacks provided by Galway. Thanks for joining me this evening.
Four minutes added on at the end.
Should really be four as Aouachria races in behind and dinks Connor but his effort is much too slow and Webster is able to dribble it clear before it crosses the line.
Lomboto and O'Connor on for Galway.
Another Bray double swap, Mahdy and Nolan on for O'Sullivan and Almirall.
Bray picking up yellow after yellow, Groome the most recent.
Second Galway change as Aouachria comes on for Manning.
A third for Galway and it is one Bray won't want to see again! A mix up at the back sees Manning nick the ball and sqaure it to Hurley who rifles home his 15th of the season.
First sub for Galway as Dervin comes on for Borden.
First sub for Galway as Dervin comes on for Borden.
A double Bray change up top see's Thompson and Walker replace Feeney and Lyons.
Lyons another Bray player that enters the referee's book.
Bray's real first chance of note is a header over the bar by Omorehiomwan.
First change is by the away side as Groome replaces Quinn.
Bray seem to have lost all composure with Omorehiomwan the latest in the book.
Stephen Walsh gets his second goal and Galway double their lead! Nowhere near as fancy this time as Galway take two bites of the cherry to score as the Galway striker does what the best strikers do and follows in to tap into an empty net.
A lovely bit of skill by Craven as he is able to flash a cross across the box but it is cleared by Slevin.
Back underway here.
That brings the first half to a close, a wonder strike on the brink of the end of the first half sees Galway a goal to the good.
What a goal on the stroke of half time! A corner for Galway, first phase it is headed clear, headed back in and then met with an outrageous bicycle kick by Stephen Walsh to put the home side 1-0 up at the perfect time.
As does a member of the Galway bench, not sure for what.
Sean Quinn receives a booking for a very late challenge on Horgan.
Poor defending from Bray from a long throw in as they let the ball bounce. Manning meets it on the half volley but blasts over.
First Bray booking as Allmirall picks it up for an ill timed challenge.
Galway have the ball in the back of the net but it has been ruled out as the ball went out before it reached the box.
Bray have pressed very well so far tonight, winning the ball off the home side numerous times in their own half but have not created many chances of note.
First yellow goes to the home side, Manning into the book for a challenge off the ball on Murphy.
First chance goes Galway's way as Stephen Walsh gets in behind but his well struck effort is pushed away for a corner by the debutant Connor.
Not much to say in the opening five minutes, both sides feeling their way into this game.
Underway here at Eamonn Deacy Park.
Teams are out now, kick off coming next.
Good evening and welcome to this evening's game between Galway and Bray. Three changes for Galway from their cup win, and a debut in net for Bray as new signing Matthew Connor comes in.
