O’Connell goal key as Cobh earn away win in Athlone
A scrappy Danny O'Connell goal gave Cobh Ramblers all three points in a disappointing 2-1 away win over Athlone Town ingame which never really got going for either side in Athlone in a typical end of season encounter.
James Doona had earlier cancelled out Jason Abbott's first-half goal for the home side but Athlone boss Paul Doolin will be eager to have gotten to the end of the season and regroup for next year for the Midlands club.
