Match Report
A fine individual performance from Emma Doherty saw her drag Sligo Rovers back into a game that looked beyond them for long stretches of the first half. Two goals and an assist for Jodie Loughrey cancelled out first half goals from Cara Griffin, Hailey Walsh and Kiara Kilbey for the Shannonsiders. Last season’s clash between these two sides was a tight goalless affair where neither side was able to fashion a goalscoring opportunity. This time around it was a totally different experience with goals aplenty in the sunshine on Shannonside. Treaty wasted no time in making their home advantage count as Cara Griffin latched onto a Kiara Kilbey ball to touch it past Sligo keeper Bonnie McKiernan to open the scoring and they made it two when Hailey Walsh capitalised on a mistake in the Sligo defence. McKiernan produced a moment of beauty with a little skip past an oncoming Treaty forward to find her full back, but when the ball was returned to her she sliced her clearance to Hailey Walsh about 40 yards from goal. Walsh’s first touch wasn’t great and she simply lashed the ball forward. McKiernan misjudged the flight of the ball and when it dropped just under the bar she appeared she looked dejected. Thankfully her team mate Emma Doherty was on hand to help save her blushes. A great diagonal ball from full back Sarah Kiernan found the head of Emma Doherty who timed her run perfectly to nod the ball past Ulliac in the Treaty net. Treaty had a few opportunities to add to their tally but it wouldn’t arrive until just before half time. Kiara Kilbey was finally rewarded for her toil with a goal. A decent corner arrived directly in front of the goal and it was the Treaty forward moving off the line who turned the ball goalward to put Alban Hysa’s side two goals ahead going into the break. Treaty have only themselves to blame for Sligo’s second goal just before the hour mark. Under almost no pressure they took too long to clear their lines and invited Doherty to come into the frame. The Donegal native stole the ball and after some great work to create some space her deep cross found Jodie Loughrey unmarked at the back post head the ball back across goal to half the deficit. Ten minutes later Doherty had drawn the sides level. Substitute Aoife Brennan played a through ball through the Treaty rearguard and Doherty finds the net with her well placed drive to share the spoils.Doherty rescues Sligo Rovers to earn draw at Treaty United

Decent effort from Casey Howe but she can't keep it on target as the assistant referee indicates three minutes of injury time to be played.
Both teams are struggling with the heat here. The intensity has dropped but either side could win this yet. Sligo look to be coping with the conditions best.
Emma Doherty hasn\'t read the script today. She\'s been in inspirational form for the visitors as she latches onto a great through ball from sub Aoife Brennan to level matters.
Both sides look like they might score again but so far Annie Ulliac has been in solid form claiming a number of crosses and long balls ahead of Sligo players.
Kilbey with a glorious opportunity to score again. She latches onto a ball over the top, sprints away from the covering defender and attempts a lob of the onrushing McKiernan but the effort goes just to the right of the post and wide.
Katie Lawlee does well to dispossess a Sligo defender but can't get her effort on target. Impressive work from the Treaty midfielder.
And once again Sligo pull one back. An innocuous long ball isn\'t dealt with by Treaty and Emma Doherty applies some pressure. Forces the turn over and her cross is inch perfect for Jodie Loughrey at the back post to knock it across the cover Ulliac and just inside the far post to half the deficit.
We're back up and running and Treaty are pressing for another goal. Katie Lawlee with a decent effort from the edge of the box but just can't get it on target.
The referee blows up the game as Orna O'Dowd recovers to clear the ball off the line as Kilbey threatens to get a fourth for the Shannonsiders.
Kilbey has found the net, a great header towards goal from a corner as she moved in the opposite direction restores Treaty United's two goal lead just ahead of half time.
Treaty win a free deep in the Sligo half as they continue to be on top of this encounter.
Treaty pass up on a glorious opportunity to add a third as Katie Lawlee's touch pushes the inch perfect cross just wide of the post with the bottom corner open.
Against the run of play Sligo have pulled one back. An excellent deep cross from Sarah Kiernan finds the head of Emma Doherty and last season\'s top scorer makes no mistake with a well placed header past Ulliac in the Treaty goal.
Treaty add another to lead by two. An amazing long range effort from Hailey Walsh drops over the head of Bonnie McKiernan to double their lead.
Casey Howe is released by a fantastic through ball from Emma Doherty but her effort is always going high over the crossbar.
Annie Ulliac is forced to deflect a long range Jodie Loughrey effort over the bar as Sligo press for an equaliser. Sligo get a head on the corner but it goes just wide.
And we have an early opener. Kilbey turns provider to find Cara Griffin behind the Sligo defence, she applies a deft touch to roll the ball past McKiernan and it reaches the line just ahead of the covering defender who can't keep it out. Big start from the home side.
The first shot in anger goes to Ciara Kilbey who latches onto a long ball but her left footed effort from the edge of the box doesn't bother McKiernan in the Sligo goal.
