Match Report
Bray made it 5 games unbeaten with a 1-1 draw at home to Galway but may feel unlucky not to have won the game as the away side were down to 10 men for most the second half. Two penalties were the difference in both halves, with Galway scoring in the 10th minute through David Hurley and Bray replying in kind in the second half with Chris Lyons. The home side started well but were undone by a defensive error. A switch of play by Galway found Lomboto, who wriggled in and out and gave the ball to Walsh. A miskick by Webster caught the striker and Galway had a penalty from nothing. David Hurley then made no mistake from the spot, calmly slotting it past Moody as the away side opened the scoring. The rest of the half was pretty uneventful, except for the handful of yellow cards Bray received, right up until the 45th minute. A long ball over the top found Lyons, who beat the offside trap, and his touch allowed him space to turn. Slevin was aware of the danger and ruthlessly dragged the Bray striker down just outside the box, getting booked in the process. The resulting free kick was taken by Darren Craven, who wrapped his foot around the ball, and it looked destined for the top corner. The veteran Galway keeper Brendan Clarke was equal to it however, superbly tipping it over for a corner. The second half came to life almost immediately as the game was flipped on its head. Bray started strong once more, but this time they were awarded for their efforts. Rob Slevin had a miserable end to the first half and then start to the second as he gave away a penalty and was further insulted with a second yellow card. Up stepped Chris Lyons and he smashed his effort into the roof of the net to level for Bray. Big chances kept coming the way of Bray throughout the second half, the most noteworthy being a free header from Darren Craven which drifted wide. The Wanderers will be rueing the chance to take advantage of a vulnerable Galway side, but with two more fixtures following relatively quickly, perhaps a point isn’t too bad.10 man Galway drop points in Bray

Bray, yellow, what's new. Conor Davis is the last, a foul just inside Bray's half. That is that too, a 1-1 draw probably fair overall in the game but Bray will surely be kicking themselves that they couldn't take advantage of their numerical superiority. Thanks for joining me this evening, good night.
Third Bray change, Donohue on for O'Sullivan.
Four minutes added on here, Galway in the Bray half for the first time in what feels like forever.
Second Bray change with Davis replacing goalscorer Lyons.
It's been constant pressure from Bray and another big chance goes missing. It's another free header, this time by Darren Craven, which again goes wide. Bray will be kicking themselves if they don't win here.
Galway's second booking is picked up by sub Rob Manley, battling on his own up top
Bray make their first sub, Power on for Thompson.
Third Galway change, O'Reilly on for Donelon.
Bray pilling up the bookings, Craven the latest, a tackle from behind, could have been a red on another day.
First changes of the game and both are for Galway. On come Manley and Nugent in place of Borden and Lomboto.
A third yellow for Bray as Murphy now enters the book for a foul out wide.
A calamity for Galway! A penalty for Bray and Slevin is given his second yellow and Galway are down to 10! Up steps Lyons and he thumps his penalty into the roof of the net to bring the Wanderers level!
Bray have once again started the half positively and should really have equalised. A free header for Ben Feeney from a corner is put wide, really should do better.
Second half underway.
A fantastic save from a Bray free kick. Craven whips it round and Clarke is equal to it, tipping it round for a corner. It\'s the last real chance of the game and Galway go into the break a goal to the good.
Second Seagull into the book as a firm challenge by Crowley is deemed unfair by the referee, a free kick to Galway just inside Bray's half.
First real Bray chance as Craven comes across the ball in space in the right hand side of the box. He flashes the ball across the box as it goes just wide.
First booking of the game goes to Callum Thompson, as his elbow catches O'Keefe as he runs past the Bray winger.
And it is 1-0 to Galway. A calm, collected penalty from David Hurley puts the away side in the lead.
Penalty to Galway! Bray had started well but a defensive error by Dave Webster, kicking out trying to clear.
Underway here at the Carlisle.
Teams are in and there are 5 changes for Bray, noteable absences include Omorehiomwan and Groome. As for Galway, they make two changes from last week, with Donelon and Slevin in for O'Reilly and Nugent.
Good evening and welcome to a beautiful Carlisle Grounds where 3rd placed Bray host league leaders Galway United. In the reverse fixture at Eamonn Deacy Park, the Seagulls suffered a heavy 6-0 loss. Team news to follow shortly.
