Galway extremely unlucky not to have a fourth. Some absolutely excellent build up play resulted in Emma Starr having an effort just inside the box. Her effort seemed destined for the top right, but it hit the inside of the upper part of the post and came back out. Galway managing the tempo well in this second half.

Half time. Cork looked like they were ready to cause an upset, but Galway have been ruthless since going behind. Cork will need a major turnaround in the second half.

Goal! It's starting to look like Cork poked the bear. Singleton (again) crossed it in and found Starr, whose initial attempt was blocked, but the American didn't give up and her rebound found the roof of the net.

McKey attempts a free from way out, but it rolls wide of the post.

Goal! Singleton now turns provider, floating in a cross that Slevin meets at the back post and heads in. Galway now deservedly lead.

Starr now plays in Singleton who seemed destined to score a second, but McCarthy denies her at point blank range.

Laura Shine had her sights set on goal, but Becky Walsh with a superb challenge snuffs out the danger.

Big save from McCarthy early as Singleton attempts a dink from the right, but the visiting goalie got a strong hand and pushed it onto the bar. Galway couldn't follow it up.

Conditions are seemingly good in the west for this one. Temperatures in the late teens and spells of sunshine, little to no chance of rain. Hopefully it'll attract a crowd to Eamonn Deacy park.

Both of these teams only have one win in their last five. Both will be seeking a win to boost the confidence heading into the final stretch of the WNL season.
