Bohs into second round of Europe
Bohemians cruised through to the second round of the UEFA Conference League with a 3-0 win over Stjarnan(4-1 on aggregate) at the Aviva stadium this evening.
Georgie Kelly opened the scoring with a close-range finish, after Dawson Devoy danced through the Stjarnan defence.
It was Kelly once more who would double the advantage with another simple finish, after a mistake from Gudjónsson in midfield.
Liam Burt rounded off the rout nicely with a slotted finish to make it three.
After a cagey start from both sides, the Gypsies grew into the game and began to dominate. Kelly nearly opened the scoring as a flick Ross Tierney header landed at his feet a couple of yards out.
It wouldn’t take long for the powerful forward to make up for his miss though, as a corner was played out to the edge of the box to Devoy. The tricky midfielder mesmerised the Icelandic defenders shifting one way then the other, before sliding the ball into the six-yard box. Kelly was perfectly positioned to deflect the ball home.
Going in at half-time a goal up would have been pleasing for Keith Buckley’s men, but it seemed as if they could have had more.
A quick five-minute spell of resistance from the visitors shocked Bohs back into life. After trying to do a little too much in front of his own defence Brynjar Gudjónsson let the ball run to Liam Burt. The Scot slipped past a defender, and had the ball whipped off his feet by Kelly and into the net.
This completely killed any energy coming from Stjarnan, and the game became increasingly one-sided. Liam Burt’s run in behind and was met by a pass from Keith Buckley, and the winger nudged the ball in for three.
The next opponents in the Conference league will be Dudelange, who will definitely put up more of a fight than tonight’s opponents. That being said, it was a complete performance from the home side, and they can be very pleased with their evening’s work.

Lyons hares through on goal after meeting no resistance down the right. He tries to square the ball to Georgie Kelly, but the big striker can't get a toe on it.
Just a case of running down the clock and not getting any injuries for Bohs now.
This has been far too easy all game for the Gypsies, the game was over as soon as the first goal went in. Stjarnan have had no answer for the technical ability of the home side.

The visitors are about to make three changes.
Dawson Devoy has a brilliant chance to score as he sprints through from midfield. The ball gets stuck under his feet, and so he can't get enough power on the shot.
This is far far far too easy for Bohs. All of the visitors attacks are coming straight back, the Gypsies look like they could score with every move forward.
Devoy uses his quick feet to work some room and cross. He find the head of Tierney at the back post, but he can't get over the ball and heads high.
Wilson looks to whip the resulting free-kick round the wall, but it's just wide.
Liam Burt twists and turns while on the run, he gets crunched by a Stjarnan defender, but no card?
It would take a real change in fortunes for Stjarnan to come back and win this now, the visitors look like they've had enough.
Kelly is nearly in again, but Laxdal does just enough to prevent him getting through for the hattrick.
2-0 Bohs! Georgie Kelly at the double! He takes the ball off the feet of Burt after a mistake in the Stjarnan defence, and blasted it home.
Lyons caused some trouble with an overlapping run from right-back. Georgie Kelly can't quite get on the end of his cross.
Gudjonsson comes out of the defence and strikes the ball from 40 yards! Talbot is scrambling and just tips it over.
The visitors have started this half well. Halldorsonn whipped a ball into the box, but Bohs did just enough to get it away.
And Bohs get the game back underway!

A great half from Bohs, they deserved their lead, and should get the win if they keep up their performance. The likes of Kelly, Devoy and Tierney are causing some real problems for Stjarnan.

Two added minutes at the end of the first half.
Liam Burt picks up the ball in the box after a nice run from Georgie Kelly. He fires the ball on goal but it's straight at the 'keeper.
Magnus Anbo tries to create something down the right for the visitors, but Tyreke Wilson does fantastically to win the ball and then a free-kick.
Stjarnan come forward and have a corner and put another ball into the box. Bohs deal with both with ease.
Stjarnan will now need three goals to win the tie, thanks to Bohs away goal from the previous leg.
Goal! Bohs are ahead! Georgie Kelly taps home after Devoy beats two players in the box. The crowd is loving this.
The best chance of the game! Georgie Kelly should score! Bjornsonn palms away his close range effort.
After a couple of forays forward from the visitors, normality has resumed and Bohs are back on top.
Rory Feely gives away a free-kick in a good area and gets a yellow for his trouble.
Bohs are dominating the ball and the territory so far, Stjarnan will have to up their game if this is going to be a competitive match.
The first attempt of the game comes as Andy Lyons has a shot blocked.
The home side look more comfortable on the ball in the opening stages, the question will be can they get it into Georgie Kelly in dangerous areas?
Bohs have started relatively well, with the Home side winning a corner to put Stjarnan on the back foot.

Hilmar Arni Halldorsson is the man to watch for Stjarnan, he'll be wearing the number 10 this evening and has a good scoring record in Iceland. Daniel Laxdal will be captaining the side and wears the number nine despite being a centre-half.
The officiating team for this evening's game are from Gibraltar, showing just how much of a cross-continental affair this is.
