And there is the goal! Wexford piled the players forward and have been punished, Galway went on the counter and following an excellent initial save Costello was on hand to slam home the rebound, what a big goal this will be if the result stands.

Double change for Galway: Saoirse Healey and Aoibheann Costello replace Nicole McNamara and Lynsey McKey.

Excellent ball sent into Starr but she cannot get a proper connection with the header.

Wexford nearly breaks the deadlock as Rossiter's corner causes all sorts of mayhem in the box but it is cleared by the Galway defence.

A Wexford corner is sent in but the keeper palms it away, Cohen was under serious pressure.

Wexford still pressing for an opening goal but Galway's defence is holding firm. Ellen Molloy got the ball from a Lynn Craven knockdown but it goes well side.

Another great chance by Kennedy as ball sent in by Rossiter from a free-kick met Kennedy but she just cannot get her head to the ball.

Aoife Thompson has come off and is replaced by Chloe Singleton in a straight attacking switch.

Very tense opening minutes to the second half, Ellen Molley and Lynn Craven are linking up well down the right but to not much avail, you have a feeling that one goal could decide this tie, Galway have come with a game plan to frustrate the hosts and counter-attack with pace on the break.

HALF TIME: A solid defensive showing for both teams as there have been chances few and far between to break the deadlock. Best of the chances fell to Edel Kennedy of Wexford from a free kick and Lynsey McKey who snuck in behind the Wexford defence but her tame shot was well saved.

Kennedy went down under a challenge but she looks as if she will be ok to continue.

Very good curling effort on the edge of the area from Russell cut it is well saved.

McKey gets in behind the defence and it's well saved by Gray, it was a low effort that could have cause issues if hit either side of the keeper.

What a chance for Wexford, an excellent delivery from a free-kick sees Kennedy at the back post just hit her effort just over the bar, it took a deflection and it's a corner to Wexford.

Brennan latches onto the loose ball from a half-cleared free-kick, she hits it first time on the volley only for Gray saved well.

From a Wexford corner, Kennedy is at the back post but her effort just goes wide of the post. Solid opening ten minutes for the home side.

Galway gets their first shot on target with Emma Starr with a clever turn and shot in the area but Gray was equal to the effort.

Rossiter breaks down the left-hand side and her effort takes a deflection for a corner, the corner is taken but nothing comes from it.

The first chance of the evening falls to the Wexford forward as Murphy latches onto the ball and hits a low effort that is saved well by Hayes Cohen on the second attempt.

Last weekends results saw Wexford defeat Athlone 7-1 and Galway defeated Treaty 1-0.

Wexford team news is in and there is one change from the side that played last week against Athlone that won so emphatically and that is Sinead Taylor returns to the starting eleven for Wexford.
