Goal! Athlone have a lifeline. Gibson bombs down the left and finds Scheriff for a tap in! They'll be hoping for a comeback but no matter the result, that's a special moment for Scheriff.

Devaney is played through by Singleton although looking dangerous initially, is shepherded out by Erickson. Good defending.

Costello disposses Molloy and launches a counter attack. Ends with Slattery having a long range effort collected by Pterkin. Some very good fullback play.

A Brennan corner is met by Shine but it's an easy one for Berlin.

Scheriff is played through and sees her effort go just wide. Athlone will be hoping she makes a big impact.

Callanan and Thompson play a nice one-two but the latter doesn't get the right contact and sends her effort wide.

Devaney fires a shot and Beletic blocks it. Handball claims are waved away.

Gibson puts a corner right on Berlin. She punches it wide and another corner follows.

Devaney's cross into Gibson is cut out by Dossan. Devaney definitely looks like the home side's bright spot.

Singleton sees a decent chance down the other end ebb wide.

Goal! Peterkin drops one right at her from McKey and it falls to Callanan for a tap in.

Peterkin challenges Callanan in the box and wins the ball. Given she was well inside her own box, simply going down to collect it would've made more sense. Seemed an unnecessary risk.

Falls to Singleton on the edge of the area and her first time effort is well over. Still, Athlone are piecing together some decent football.

Athlone work a decent chance following a switch of play to Molloy. She pulls it back to Devaney who cuts onto her left and has a pop but it's routine for Berlin.

Athlone have a penalty shout waved away after Dossan puts in a risky challenge on Devaney. Looked as if she won the ball though.

Goal! A McKey corner is met by Erickson to give Galway the lead!

Brennan sees a couple of her low drilled crosses defended. Berlin took a knock collecting the second one. She's alright to continue for now. Mostly Athlone so far.

Glackin is once again out for Athlone and the rest of her season is in doubt following a knee injury in training. Nausica Constanini and Kellie Brennan drop to the bench for Kate Slevin and Chloe Singleton.
