Women’s Interprovincial Preview: Ulster V Leinster

Leinster will know their faith ahead of kick off at Queens University as they hope to snatch the crown from Munster, kick off against Ulster is 5:30pm.

Ulster look to be ending the year without a win but showed character to come back and snatch a losing bonus point over Connacht, they now need to dig deep if they want to get a first win since September 2011, a 15-12 win over Connacht.

Emma Jordan comes into the starting lineup at 13, with Lucy Thompson brought in on the right wing. Left wing Niamh Marley and fullback Maeve Liston will start their third consecutive game of the Championship.

Rachael McIlroy and Ella Durkan continue their pairing in the half-back positions, with Kelly McCormill moving from outside to inside centre.

There's an all-Cooke front row, made up of Sadhbh McGrath, Megan Simpson and Ilse Van Staden, with Keelin Brady and Brenda Barr pairing up in the second row.

Enniskillen duo India Daley and Sophie Barrett retain their places in the back row at 6 and 8 respectively, with captain Beth Cregan again starting at openside flanker.

The party may be spoiled by the time they kick off but for Leinster they hope to get back to winning ways after defeat last time out, it could all be for pride but if the title is on the cards then this tie will be crucial.

There are two changes to the pack who took on Munster last weekend, with Emma Hooban starting at hooker and Elaine Anthony coming in to the second row.

It’s a back three of Anna Doyle and Elise O’Byrne-White on the wings with Ella Roberts at full-back, Jenny Murphy and Aoife Dalton once again join up in the centre, Molly Scuffil-McCabe and Dannah O’Brien continue their partnership at half-back.

Aoife Moore and Christy Haney pack down either side of Hooban in the front row. Anthony joins Aoife McDermott in the second row, while Niamh O’Dowd, Molly Boyne and Hannah O’Connor complete the pack.
