AIL Roundup: Division 1A Semi-Finals

The All Ireland Division 1A final will be a repeat of last season’s decider with holders Clontarf facing Terenure College in the final on the 7th May, after victories over Young Munster and Cork Constitution.

Clontarf 13-12 Young Munster, Castle Avenue

The sides were level 6-6 at half time with Conor Hayes kicking two penalties for the visitors and Tadhg Bird doing the same for the home side.

Hayes put Young Munster ahead with his third penalty, but Clontarf replied with a converted try from Dylan Donnellan, who brought his personal tally up to 22 for the season.

Munster’s only response was a fourth penalty from Hayes, who later missed two pressure kicks that ultimately cost his side.

Terenure College 30-12 Cork Constitution, Lakelands Park

Trailing 18-0 at halftime at Lakelands Park, Cork Constitution were unable to close the gap and saw their season end at the hands of Terenure College.

Caolan Dooley kicked 20 points and Adam La Grue and Jordan Coghlan claimed a try each.

James Murphy and Cathal O’Flaherty scored tries for Cork and Aidan Moynihan kicked one conversion but it wasn’t enough.
