AIL Preview: Division 1B Week 9 Refixed

There are a few interesting encounters this weekend across Division 1B, It’s an Ulster derby between Malone and City of Armagh, St Mary’s look to keep their title hopes alive against Highfield, while Old Wesley travel to ninth place Banbridge in the hopes of making the top four.

Malone V City of Armagh, Saturday January 7th, Gibson Park, 2:30pm

It’s another Ulster derby in Gibson Park this weekend.

The in form City of Armagh will be confident they can start the year with a win.

Malone have found it hard this season, but their only wins have come at home. They’ll be hoping the support of the crowd in Gibson Park will spur them on towards victory.

St Mary’s College V Highfield, Saturday January 7th, Templeville Road, 2:30pm

This is another interesting game happening at the weekend.

Sean Cronin will be keen to keep the pressure on City of Armagh and Buccaneers at the top of the table.

Highfield are another team that have had a mixed season so far, four wins and four defeats. Cian Bohane has been the standout player for them so far. If they could win the game on Saturday, they could jump into the top four

Banbridge V Old Wesley, Saturday January 7th, Rifle Park, 3:30pm

Banbridge welcome Old Wesley to Rifle Park on Saturday.

Banbridge will be relying on home advantage to try and get the result.

Old Wesley will be keen to get back into the top four with a win this week.
