The All-Ireland Division 1A playoffs are upon us as Terenure College, Cork Constitution, Clontarf and Young Munster battle it out for the title.
Terenure College vs Cork Constitution, Sat April 22nd, Lakelands Park, 2:30pm
Second place Terenure College meet Cork Constitution, who finished third, in a monumental game that their 18 rounds of the regular season comes down to.
Terenure College are hoping to secure their first ever Division 1A title, while the visitors have won the All-Ireland League six times but haven’t tasted glory since 2019.
Just two points separated the sides this season and in the first meeting Terenure ran out 47-12 winners before Cork secured a 27-23 win earlier this month.
Clontarf vs Young Munster, Sat April 22nd, Castle Avenue, 2:30pm
Top side Clontarf lost just three times this season and seeing as Young Munster finished three places and 23 points behind, the home side are red hot favourites to make the final.
Young Munster have just one All-Ireland League to their name (1993) and will be desperate to end their trophy ridden run, while Clontarf are two-time winners but haven’t lifted the trophy since 2016.
The visitors beat Clontarf on their own patch back in November in a 24-19 win before the table toppers edged Young Munster 27-24 in February, which suggests this may be closer than people expect.
