Kildare were ruthless as they disposed of Cavan in Belturbet. Neasa Dooley (pen), Ellen Dowling and Trina Duggan scored the goals for Diane O’Hora’s side in their excellent win. Tyrone overcame their Ulster rivals and neighbours Monaghan to make it three wins from three in Division 2.

Donegal will hope to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Kildare as they take on Westmeath on Sunday in Letterkenny. Westmeath picked up their first three points of the campaign last weekend with a win over Monaghan. Tyrone will hope to make it three wins from three when they take on Monaghan while the Farney County are hoping to making up their first points.

Kildare recorded their 16th win in a row as they came away from Donegal with a four point win over Donegal. It was an impressive display from Diane O’Hora’s charges who are top of Division 2. Cavan and Westmeath both picked up their first wins with victories over Laois and Monaghan respectively.

Plenty of interesting clashes in Division 2 this weekend. Kildare will look to build on their win at home to Monaghan last weekend when they travel to Donegal. The Ulster side had a good win over Laois last weekend.

In Omagh two sides who would like to push for promotion met when Tyrone entertain Tipperary. Tipp had a fine win over Tyrone last year but it’ll be a lot closer this year.

Kildare made a winning start to Division 2 with a four point win at home to Monaghan. A strong start laid the foundations for Tyrone’s win over Westmeath in Omagh.

Plenty of new managers and players on show in Division 2 on Sunday. After impressing last year on their way to claiming the Division 3 and All-Ireland Intermediate titles Kildare will be one of the favourites for Division 2. They start their league campaign at home to Monaghan. Former Mayo Ladies manager Frank Browne is now with Westmeath and they play their first of five away games on Sunday when they travel to take on Tyrone.
