Dublin made a winning start to the Senior Championship inflicting a first defeat in 23 games for Kildare. Westmeath and Offaly played out an entertaining draw in the Intermediate Championship, while Carlow continued their recent impressive form with a win over Louth in the Junior grade.

Fermanagh were clinical and ruthless in their comprehensive win over bottom side Kilkenny. Eimear Smyth scored a first half hat-trick for the Erne County. Carlow continued their first start to the campaign with a win over neighbours Wicklow in Aughrim. They along with Fermanagh are the only unbeaten sides in the division.

Smyth’s first half goal proved to be the difference as the Erne County moved to the top of the table. Carlow moved up to third in the table with a comprehensive win over bottom side Kilkenny.

Second place Fermanagh welcome leaders Leitrim to Donagh in the big game in Division 4 this weekend. Leitrim have a 100% record so far this year and have been clinical in front of the goals. Fermanagh will hope home advantage can help them claim the three points. Limerick lie just behind Fermanagh on score difference and they have a home game against Longford. It’s a fourth away game for the Midlanders who are looking for a second win in this division.
