St. Mary’s beat Drumkeeran Ladies in wet & slippery conditions.

On Sunday morning in wet and slippery conditions, Pairc Naomh Muire hosted St. Mary’s ladies, who took on a strong Drumkeeran team in round 3 of the Leitrim LGFA Intermediate Championship.

St. Mary’s took the early lead with points from Sarah Reynolds, and Aisling Leahy (free). Drumkeeran replied with a Shannon O’Grady point in the 8th minute.

Elise Bruen and Roisin Kelleher increased the lead to 3 points before an Ella McNamara penalty brought the sides level in the 15th minute.

Roisin Kelleher struck the net in the 22nd minute and Elise Bruen and Sarah Reynolds got their second points of the game before the break.

The home side led Drumkeeran at half-time 1-05 to 1-02.

The wet and slippy conditions made it tough for either side to get a foothold in the second half but two Aisling Leahy goals put the girls in blue and white just out of Drumkeeran’s reach.

3 wins from 3 for St. Mary’s leaves them as leaders of the Intermediate table with 9 points.

Drumkeeran togs out next week at home to Mohill on Sunday, 18th September at 11 am.

St. Mary’s Kiltoghert are away to St. Brigid’s in their final group game of the championship on Sunday, 25 September at 11 am.
