Games at the top end and bottom of Group B this weekend. A win for either Derry or Limerick in Baltinglass would be huge as two teams advance to the league semi-finals. In Dunmore, Kilkenny and Derry await their first points of the campaign after losing their two previous games.
Wicklow v Limerick, Sunday 12th Feb, Baltinglass at 2pm
It’s second versus third in Baltinglass on Sunday as Wicklow entertain Limerick. A win for either side will see them move level on points with group leaders Leitrim.
In their last game Wicklow had a 18 point win away to Derry. That was two weeks ago. Limerick’s last game was three weeks ago; they had a comprehensive win over Kilkenny.
With the top 2 going through to the semi-finals this game is of vital importance for both sides. Limerick were beaten in the league final last year while Wicklow were relegated from Division 3. An intriguing contest is in store.
Kilkenny v Derry, Sunday 12th Feb, MW Hire Dunmore at 2pm
The bottom two in Group B clash in Dunmore as Kilkenny take on Derry. Both sides have lost their previous two games.
Kilkenny have found the going tough since their return to the league. They have battled hard and shown spirit but have suffered heavy defeats to Limerick and then Leitrim.
Derry have struggled in the league and like Kilkenny have been on the receiving ends of defeats to Leitrim and Derry. They did score goals in both games. A win for either side will be a boost.
