Preview: Lidl NFL Div 4 Group B Week 2

Wicklow start their Group B campaign away to Derry. The Garden County were relegated last year and will hope to bounce back up to Division 3. Leitrim will be looking for two wins from two when they entertain Kilkenny in Carrick on Shannon.

Derry v Wicklow – Sunday 29th January, Owenbeg at 2pm

Derry were defeated in their opening game by Leitrim while it’s Wicklow’s first game of the campaign. 

Derry struggled against Leitrim but will hope to impress in front of their home fans. Wicklow were relegated to Division 4 last year and will want to bounce back up to Division 3. A win in Owenbeg would be a good start for them.

Leitrim v Kilkenny – Sunday 29th January, St. Mary’s at 2pm

Leitrim were very impressive in their opening game of the league. They overcame a Derry side who struggled to contain them. Vivienne Egan scored 4-06 for Jonny Garritty’s side.

Kilkenny found the going tough against Limerick in their first game back in the league in three years. They face a daunting trip to Carrick on Shannon on Sunday but will hope to put in another spirited performance.
