Preview: Lidl NFL Div 4 Group A & B

Semi-final places are at stake this weekend. In Group A a draw or win for leaders Antrim would see them through to the last four while in Group B Limerick, Leitrim and Wicklow all have a chance of making the semi-finals.

Group A

Fermanagh v London, Sun 5th March, Donagh, 12pm

Fermanagh will hope to make it two wins from two when they entertain London in Donagh this afternoon.

After losing to Antrim in their opening game, Fermanagh bounced back with a three point win over Carlow. London are bottom of the table and on no points.

They were defeated in their first game by Carlow and then fell to a heavy defeat at home to league leaders Antrim in their next game.

Antrim v Carlow, Sun 5th March, Davitt Park, Belfast, 3pm

If Antrim avoid defeat in this game they will advance to the league semi-finals. They have been impressive in the league with two wins from two.

They defeated Ulster rivals Fermanagh in their first game and followed that up with a fine win away to London. Carlow know that a win could see them book their place in the league semi-finals.

Carlow had a good win over London in their opening game but lost to Fermanagh in their last game by three points. This will be an intriguing battle.

Group B

Derry v Limerick, Sun 5th March, Owenbeg, 2pm

Limerick travel to Derry this afternoon knowing a win would see them into the league semi-finals. Derry lost their opening two games but picked up their first points in their last game.

Limerick started the league with a win over Kilkenny and followed that up with a seven point victory over Wicklow. In their last game they drew with Leitrim in a high scoring game.

Derry have found the going tough in the league but were happy to finally get a win in their last game away to bottom side Kilkenny.

Wicklow v Leitrim, Sun 5th March, Aughrim, 3.30pm

This has the makings of being a very good game. A win for either side would see them book their place in the league semi-finals. Leitrim can afford to draw the game. They currently are top of the table.

Leitrim have put up high scores in all their games. They’ve recorded big wins over Derry and Kilkenny and in their last game drew with Limerick.

Wicklow have two wins out of three. They lost to Limerick in their second game but know a win in Aughrim would put them into the league semi-finals.
