It’s tight at the top of Division 3 where leaders Louth take on third place Wexford in Darver. Down near the bottom Sligo travel to Longford looking for their first points of the campaign.
Offaly v Kildare, Sun 26th Feb, Bord na Móna O’Connor Park, 11.45pm
After tasting defeat for the first time last weekend, Kildare will hope to bounce back when they travel to Tullamore. Offaly still await their first points of the campaign.
Kildare lost out to Louth by one point last weekend and dropped down to second in the table. Down and Wexford are level on points with them. Diane O’Hora’s side will want to remain near the top.
Offaly have been unlucky in games this year. Last weekend they were thwarted on numerous occasions by the Clare goalkeeper as the Banner defeated them by one point. They’ll hope their luck changes against the Lilywhites.
Longford v Sligo, Sun 26th Feb, Emmet Park, 2pm
Just three points separate these two sides. Longford are in sixth position, while Sligo are bottom and await their first points of the campaign.
After securing their first win against Offaly, Longford fell to a heavy defeat to Down last weekend. It has been a tough league campaign for the Midlanders. They’ll want a win to put space between themselves and the bottom two.
Sligo will hope their luck changes in Killoe. In their last two games they’ve lost out by just one point. Wexford needed a late point to claim the win last weekend.
Clare v Down, Sun 26th Feb, Cusack Park, 2pm
Clare will hope to put pressure on the top sides with a win at home to Down but the Ulster County will provide stiff opposition.
After losing two games in a row, Clare got back to winning ways last weekend against Offaly but they were made to work hard for the win. They’ve a lot to thank their keeper Amy Lenihan for; her saves proved decisive.
Down are level on points with Kildare (2nd) and Wexford (3rd). After losing their opening game to Kildare the Mourne County have bounced back with three wins in a row.
Louth v Wexford, Sun 26th Feb, Darver, 2pm
Leaders Louth will be out to make it five wins from five and maintain their unbeaten record when they welcome third place Wexford to Darver. A win for Wexford and they could go above Louth.
Last weekend the Wee County had a terrific win away to Kildare. Kate Flood kicked the winning point in the 59th minute. She had scored a goal in the first half.
Wexford have lost just once, so far. That was in their third game, at home to Down. Last weekend they got back to winning ways with a win over Sligo but they had to work hard for the three points.
